Acceptable Use Policy
01 Scope of services
This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all clients and users of WebSix's services, including website design, development, hosting and maintenance services provided under a monthly subscription agreement.
By entering into an agreement with WebSix, the client agrees to comply with this policy. This policy applies to all content published on websites hosted by WebSix, as well as to all communications with WebSix.
Services covered
Website design and development, web hosting, domain management, ongoing maintenance and technical support.
Users covered
The subscribing client, their employees, customers, and any third parties who access the hosted website.
02 Permitted use
Clients may use WebSix's services for lawful business purposes, including but not limited to:
Promoting legitimate products and services to potential customers.
Publishing informational content, portfolios, blogs and business-related materials.
Collecting contact information via forms, in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
Operating a lawful online presence for an established business or organisation.
All use must comply with Dutch law, European Union regulations, and any other applicable legislation.
03 Prohibited use
The following activities are strictly prohibited on any website hosted by WebSix:
Illegal content
Publishing, distributing or facilitating access to content that violates Dutch or EU law, including copyright infringement, counterfeit goods or unlicensed software.
Harmful or offensive content
Content that incites hatred, discrimination, violence or harassment based on race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or other protected characteristics.
Fraud and deception
Phishing, scams, misleading advertising, impersonation of other persons or organisations, or any other form of fraudulent activity.
Malware and security threats
Distributing viruses, malware, spyware or any software designed to harm or gain unauthorised access to systems.
Spam
Sending unsolicited commercial communications or using the hosted website to facilitate spam campaigns.
Sanctions violations
Conducting business with individuals, organisations or countries subject to international sanctions, including EU and UN sanctions.
High-risk activities
Operating gambling platforms, cryptocurrency exchanges, adult content services, firearms sales or other high-risk categories without explicit prior written approval from WebSix.
Privacy violations
Collecting, processing or sharing personal data in violation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or other applicable privacy legislation.
04 Legal compliance
Clients are solely responsible for ensuring that all content published on their website complies with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for the collection and processing of personal data.
Dutch consumer protection law and the Dutch Civil Code.
EU regulations on electronic commerce and digital services.
Intellectual property law, including copyright and trademark regulations.
Applicable sanctions legislation (EU, UN and Dutch national sanctions).
WebSix does not provide legal advice. Clients are encouraged to seek independent legal counsel to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
05 Third parties
The client is responsible for all content placed on their website, whether created by the client, their employees, contractors or any other third party.
WebSix is not responsible for the actions of third parties who access the client's website, nor for any content submitted by users of the client's website via forms or other means.
If the client's website enables third-party users to submit content (such as contact forms or comment sections), the client is responsible for moderating that content and ensuring it complies with this policy.
06 Monitoring and enforcement
WebSix reserves the right to monitor hosted websites for compliance with this policy. Upon discovery of a violation, WebSix may take the following actions:
Warning
In minor cases, WebSix will notify the client and request removal of offending content within a reasonable timeframe.
Suspension
WebSix may temporarily take the website offline if a violation poses an immediate risk to third parties, WebSix's infrastructure or WebSix's reputation.
Termination
In serious or repeated cases, WebSix reserves the right to terminate the agreement with immediate effect, without refund of any payments already made.
WebSix will cooperate fully with law enforcement authorities and regulatory bodies in the event of suspected illegal activity.
07 Reporting violations
If you become aware of content on a WebSix-hosted website that you believe violates this policy or applicable law, please report it to info@websix.nl. WebSix will investigate all reports and take appropriate action.
08 Changes to this policy
WebSix reserves the right to update this Acceptable Use Policy at any time. Clients will be notified of significant changes by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of WebSix's services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
